I am a late 20something wife, mommy, HypnoBirthing® practitioner, and birth doula from Chicago. I love all things regarding natural birth and parenting (as well as food, music, and art). This blog is an outlet for those thoughts, feelings, and (mis)adventures.
I am married to a wonderful man named Kevin, whom I have been with since spring 2003 and married to since summer 2008. He is an English teacher, musician, and writer. Together, we have a young son who was born gently and calmly with the aid of HypnoBirthing® and a doula (as well as the wonderful medical staff at EMH) in September 2009. We are currently working on adding a new Hipster to our family. :)
I conduct group HypnoBirthing® classes in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago, and I also conduct private classes anywhere in the Chicagoland area.
I am a DONA trained birth doula and have attended roughly 40+ births since March 2010.
